Okay, i have to admit i feel like i have lots of shoots to catch up on but Ive got to tell you about a senior session i had a few weeks ago I met up with Matt and his parents at the airport in Manila. Matt is a senior at Nettleton and wanted some shots done with his plane. How many 17 yr olds have their pilot license? not many so that was really special to document for him and his family. He flies an open air cockpit plane, more for fun flying than for long traveling but from what his dad was telling me, who is also a pilot, takes more skill to fly. His plane was built in 1930 and there were only 10 built of the same model, Great Lakes. We had a great session! We did some shots in the hanger and then pulled the plane out into the field to get some outside portraits. After we were finished he took me for a ride!!! I was so stoked. Understand that I don't do rollarcoasters or fair rides or bungee anything (anymore) SO for a half second i was a little apprehensive but Matt was so confident and so professional that i didnt even really give it a second thought. It was so amazing- i felt like a bird. I could feel the wind and just glided around so smoothly. The helmet was a super plus too, i felt like Amelia Earheart. Amazing. Thank you so much Smith Family! Yall are wonderful!!!! Here are some of my favorites from the session.
