Crawling Series

Tobin started crawling a few weeks ago and he is EVERYWHERE! Our poor dog and cat never get to rest anymore (nor do Nate and I for that matter!) :) I just sent this series to print and i cannot wait to hang it on my wall. Im also putting together some books of his first year to give to our family at his first birhtday. My baby is growing up!

Sadie

My niece, Sadie, recently turned one. She is the busiest little thing- we all laugh at how fast she zips around the room. My sister and her family visited last weekend so we got to take some pictures of Sadie in her fun, pink party dress. It is so evident even at this age how she will be a girl who loves her accessories...notice the sunglasses and shiny braclet....oh yeah, she's a girly girl. Tobin and i even got to jump in for some shots too.

Little girls and dresses...such a fun pair- I love it! These girls are the daughters of a friend of mine, Barbara Miles. I photographed them almost 2 years ago but recently redid some collages for Barbara's wall. They just played for the camera. Their relationship as sisters was so sweet to watch. Barbara is an artist out of Little Rock, she does amazing clay pieces. I met her at an art show at the Arkansas Art Center we hit it off and we ended up trading work. She did some pieces of my nephew that i gave to my sister and mom- they are beautiful.

taking a breather

We moved! It's been such a circus the past couple of weeks with packing and moving but we seem to be settling in finally. I had a booth at the NEAR bridal expo last weekend. I always love doing those. I was barely able to get my booth together with living out of boxes but somehow i managed in the midst of the chaos. I had a great response and got to meet lots of wonderful brides..even was able to do a little networking with local photographers. I am so anxious to find an artistic community like i had back in little rock. Where are you creative peeps??? I was looking at some inspiration for decorating my house. And was checking out At Home in Arkansas' website..came across a mention of me in their blog(thanks guys!). http://www.athomearkansas.com/At-Home-Arkansas/Blog/

Helloooo 2008!!

I love when a new year rolls around. Not because of the chance to make those silly new year's resolutions, ive never been one for those, but because it's a dawning of a new adventure. An entire new year sits before you in motion ready to be experienced. Exciting stuff! My family and I have some of our own adventures in the horizon..we are moving to Jonesboro, my hometown. My husband, Nate, has been offered a job that he cant refuse. We'll be closer to my parents too..which is definitely an added bonus...the possibility to have date nites again..um yes, please! I am going to miss a lot of things about Little Rock but im really embracing the idea of moving back to a smaller community. Especially the idea of raising Tobin there. The idea of building up my cliental again sounds a bit challenging but im up for it, it will stretch me. This last year i have shot many weddings and portriats in Jonesboro. Here is Crystal Fowler and Matt Crawford's wedding that i photographed back in October. Such a fun bride and groom to work with and their wedding party was a blast! Best of luck to both of you!

Savannah

I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday! Hard to believe it has already come and gone. After a whirlwind tour thru Tennesse (for a family reunion) and Arkansas, (for four stops of christmas fun) we are home and relaxing. Pics to come...Ive also got some precious pics of Tobin and his cousin Sadie, who dressed up like mr and mrs claus- they were show stoppers in the Peabody lobby- he hammed it up the entire time. Here are some shots of a photo session i had with my friend's daughter Savannah. I shot these earlier this month but with the rush of the holidays- just now getting around to catching up on posting. As you can tell from the photos she is A-dorable! And has the MOST fashionable wardrobe for her age...we had a blast picking out clothes for her photo session...could have played in her closet all day! Im also working on a couple of weddings, one that was in Hot Springs at Garven Gardens and another from Jonesboro that i shot in November.....photos to come!
